Markha Valley – Ladakh’s most popular trek has Mt. Kang Yatse II dominating its skyline most of the route. Just a little distance from Kang Yatse II is the little known Dzo Jongo. This demanding trip comprises the trek and the twin ascents into 18 days, packing in a powerful punch. Although the climbs don’t require serious climbing skills, it definitely requires some serious endurance and a love for prolonged periods in the outdoors. Nimaling at 4750m from where most ofthe action commences can get pretty cold and windy. It happens to be the grazing grounds of all the cattle in the Markha Valley and has a big parachute tent shelter in the summers for visiting trekkers. If you have some tough treks behind your back and atleast one small climb, then this is a good trip to up the game further. Brace up for some really demanding days if you are signing up for this one.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
  • Trekkers should follow the schedules and rules. Leaders’ decisions will be the final decision.
  • Beyond Altitudes reserves the right to make any changes in the program or schedule without any prior notice.
  • Trekkers will have to bear extra charges if any unavoidable expenses occurred due to a change in program or group over-spending.
  • Non-Veg. Food, Smoking, Alcohol, Drugs, Narcotics, and any kind of Intoxication, Firearms, and Gambling are strictly prohibited.
  • All the programs include purely vegetarian healthy food only.
  • Do not carry or wear any VALUABLES, ORNAMENTS / JEWELLERY, etc. The Organisers are not responsible for any loss or theft of the valuables.
  • Take care of the mountains. Plastic items, wrappers, toilet paper, empty boxes should not be littered but carried up to the next camp for necessary disposal.

Day 1Meet & Greet at Leh Airport and Transfer to Hotel. O/n Leh

Day 2Rest and acclimatization at Leh

Day 3Drive from Leh to Chilling and Trek to Markha (3400m)

Day 4Trek from Markha to Thachungtse (4150m)

 

 

Day 5Trek from Thachungtse to Kang Yatse Base Camp (5150m)

Day 6Climb Kang Yatse II and descend back to Base Camp

Day 7Contingency Day

Day 8Trek from Base camp to Shang Sumdo & drive to Leh. O/n Hotel.

Day 9Checkout from Hotel and Drop at Leh Airport. The trek ends here with sweet memories and lots of adventure.

They also have a sound knowledge of First Aid.
